THE VENUE :
 

  The 12th Symposium of Mathematics and its Applications will be held in 
the “Rectorat” building of the “Politehnica” University, where the Department of Mathematics is located. The venue is situated in the center of the city, in the “Victory” Square (formerly known as the “Opera” Square). The address is: Piata Victoriei number 2, and the Department of
Mathematics is situated at the second floor (etajul 2). Please come here first for registration; from here you will be guided to your chosen hotel. 


DIRECTIONS :
 
By airplane
 

  The “Traian Vuia” Airport is located near Timisoara, at 12 kilometers from
the City center. From the airport you can travel to the City center by bus (hourly departures, 5:30 – 23:00) or by Taxi. More informations can be obtained from the Airport's website
 
  By train


The train station “Timişoara Nord” is situated relatively near to the City center. From the main exit of the station, if you turn left the main road takes you straight to the “Victory” Square – about 15 minutes walking. You can arrive to the “Victory” Square by trolleybus – take the  trolleybus 11 or 14. As you exit the train station, the trolleybus station is just across the street. You can purchase tickets at the newspapers stand in the station. More informations can be obtained from the Romanian Railway Company website
 
 By car
 
If you wish to come by car, we can arrange a parking space near the Electrical Engineering building, about 10 minutes walking from the City center. In any case, please come first to the registration desk in the Rectorat building.
